Since retiring from a 25-year wildlife biologist's career in 2012, Ed continues to provide ecological services and practical advice to fellow forest owners who are interested in rural arts and forest habitat improvement through wise, sustainable use of natural resources. Ed is both an MFPA and participant forest owner in the MFTIP program (since its beginning). In winter he is often in his forest, mindfully selecting trees for milling into his own 'forest to finish' carpentry projects.
