Join us for a webinar with speakers from the Canadian Food Inspection Agency and the Invasive Species Centre on July 28 from 12-1 p.m. ET about spotted lanternfly (Lycorma delicatula), a non-native insect pest. There are no established populations in Ontario but there have been increased sightings and interceptions in recent years.
Woodlot owners can play a critical role in monitoring for spotted lanternfly to give us the best chance at early detection of this pest in Ontario. The webinar will focus on biology, identification, survey techniques, and how to report suspect finds so that you can contribute to these efforts.
There will also be an opportunity at the end of the presentation to ask questions and the presentation will be recorded for viewing later.
